Energy efficiency - key topic in Moscow
  • Advisory board set up
  • Conference topics approved
The newly founded advisory board of Chillventa Rossija met for the first time in Moscow at the end of June 2010. The highly qualified body comprises representatives from the Russian refrigeration and air conditioning sector. The conference orientation was also defined at the first meeting. One of the top issues in focus is energy efficiency. Chillventa Rossija, the International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heat Pumps, celebrates its premiere in the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center, Moscow, from 1-3 March 2011.

"Setting up the advisory board is a real asset for Chillventa Rossija. The great commitment of all concerned shows the high degree of interest in a professional business platform that equally reflects air conditioning and refrigeration - incidentally, a unique combination in the Russian exhibition industry. I am delighted we have gained the support of such well-known players for the advisory board," says Meike Krüger, Project Manager of Chillventa Rossija in Nürnberg. "I am sure the Russian refrigeration and air conditioning sector will find a new home at Chillventa in Moscow," continues Krüger. The exhibition with accompanying conference programme is based on the extraordinarily successful concept of Chillventa in Nürnberg, which impressed the experts at its premiere in 2008.

Highly qualified advisory board set up
The first meeting took place in Moscow on 22 June 2010 chaired by Alexander V. Baranenko, Professor, Rector of the St. Petersburg State University of Refrigeration and Food Engineering and President of the International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR). The advisory board comprises the following members: The refrigeration segment is chaired by Dr. Sci. Igor M. Kalnin, Professor, Member of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR) and chairholder at the Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering. Other members of the board's refrigeration group are George A. Belozerov, Director of the State Research Institute for the Refrigeration Industry (VNIIHI, State Scientific Research Institute, Refrigeration Research Institute) and Member of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR), Dr. Sci. Oleg M. Tagantsev, Director General of the OOO VNIICHOLODMASH HOLDING (Scientific Research Institute for Refrigeration Machinery), Vladimir I. Smyslov, Executive Director of the Association Holod-Byt - International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR). The air conditioning segment is chaired by Dr. Sci. Alexander A. Malyshev, Professor, Prorector for Science and Innovation at the St. Petersburg State University of Refrigeration and Food Engineering and Director General of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR). Also a member of the air conditioning segment is Viktor V. Shishov, Member of the International Refrigeration Academy (IAR) and Professor of the Chair of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Key conference topics
The first action of the newly created advisory board was to set the key topics for the Chillventa Rossija 2011 Conference. Next year's conference will focus on:
  • Energy-efficient plants and energy-saving technical solutions for refrigeration and air conditioning.

  • Natural and new refrigerants: today and in the future. Improvement of the energy efficiency of industrial plants using natural refrigerants.

  • Assurance of environmental protection: operational reliability and safety of refrigeration and air conditioning plants. Noise reduction of industrial plants.

  • Heat pumps worldwide and in Russia. Modern energy-saving solutions for heat recovery.

Key players already on board
"Initial personal talks with leading manufacturers in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry confirm the great interest in Chillventa Rossija. The response to the professional concept of the exhibition with accompanying conference programme is enormous. Well-known Russian and international companies have already confirmed their participation and reserved stand spaces around a year before the start of the event," says a delighted Meike Krüger. Stand spaces have already been confirmed by companies such as: Alfa Laval, Bitzer, Bock, Chinese Pavilion, Eliwell, Farmina, FRASCOLD, GEA Ecoflex, GEA Grasso, Güntner, Morena, Officine Mario Dorin, Olex Holding, Ostrov, Quadrotek, TEKO, ZANOTTI and Ziehl-Abegg. Background: this is Chillventa Rossija
What makes Chillventa Rossija so special in contrast to other events in Russia is that it does not just reflect one theme - air conditioning or refrigeration. Chillventa Rossija offers refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps under one roof for the first time, a combination not previously offered in the Russian market. Here NürnbergMesse has proven expertise and decades of experience as a noted and internationally recognized organizer of exhibitions. The commitment in Russia is not new for the Nürnberg company. It has already organized the CholodExpo in Moscow twice and the CholodSummit in February 2010, all events with great success. For Chillventa Rossija 2011, it was decided to enlist the support of Ost-West-Partner OWP and develop the exhibition jointly. OWP has more than 20 years of know-how in the organization and execution of high-quality, professional events in Russia.
